Overall responsibility for sales and advertising inventory management and ensuring maximum sales via advertising agencies and/or direct clients.
Advertising Agencies
- Approaching Advertising agencies (through phone, email and/or face-to-face meetings) to register Employer as a supplier of media inventory.
- Building strong relationships with key personnel at Advertising agencies.
- Preparing of sales presentations and presenting to Advertising agencies.
- Drafting of presentations in individual agency templates.
- Effectively responding to briefs/calls placed by Advertising agencies.
- Always meeting brief deadlines.
- Following up on briefs with Advertising agencies.
- Managing the sales process (from contract to after sales).
- Liaising with 3rd party service providers (suppliers of printing and flighting) to ensure client service standards are met.
- Managing day to day sales admin (Following up on contract signatures, agency media Ci’s and production PO’s, providing material specs etc.), and providing Proof of Flighting pictures.
- Timeously following up on renewals.
- Managing sales pipeline and inventory bookings.
- Building on client relationships and maintaining key client accounts.
- Effectively building the Employer brand and goodwill with Advertising Agencies.
- Reporting to Management with weekly reports on progress using specific software provided by Employer.
Direct Clients
- Identifying new and potential clients/lead generation through research, existing relationships and social media etc.
- Approaching and selling inventory (through phone, email and/or face-to-face) meetings.
- Preparing of sales presentations and presenting to clients.
- Managing the sales process (from presentation to contract to after sales), including sales proposals and advertising contracts, negotiate terms of agreement, and closing deals.
- Liaising with 3rd party service providers (suppliers of printing and flighting) to ensure client service standards are met.
- Managing the sales pipeline and inventory bookings.
- Timorously following up on renewals.
- Building on client relationships and maintaining key client accounts.
- Reporting to Management with weekly reports on progress using specific software provided by Employer.
Criteria
- Have at least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar outdoor media sale position.
- Excellent understanding on how advertising agencies work from responding to briefs, sales and after sales.
- Have a demonstrable track record of previous experience and success achieved
