Main job function

  • Collaborate with CEO in setting and driving organizational vision, operations strategy, and hiring levels
  • Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.
  • Oversee company operations and employee productivity, building a highly inclusive culture that ensures team members can thrive and that organizational goals are met.
  • Maintains and directs the daily operations of the business, including coordinating with human resources, legal, sales, marketing, manufacturing, finance, IT and other departments
  • Responsible for the management and handles the daily business operations of the company, working closely with the Executives, Senior Management to support the day-to-day activities.
  • Support and guidance to other senior executives and employees, including to advise on promotions to ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention
  • Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Meets with and reports to the CEO regarding daily operations, as well as realigning business operations strategy, or other company goals and objectives
  • Heir apparent for the CEO and stand in for the CEO when out of the office or otherwise engaged.
  • Develops and implements policies for daily operations and communicates these policy changes to department supervisors.
  • Ensures alignment with current company policies and goals, including those that the COO creates themselves, as well as those developed by the CEO and other executives

 

Qualifications

  • Honours or MBA in Business Management.

 

 

Criteria

  • 10 – 15 years of proven, hands-on manufacturing track record in role of Executive in the Textile or Apparel Manufacturing sector.
  • Proven track record in Building strong long-lasting relationships with professionals at all organizational levels.
  • Aptitude in identifying new areas for business growth and development.
  • Ability to establish and maintain partnerships and provide thought leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good business acumen with high degree of analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to achieve targets and meet deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills with ability to monitor and evaluate new opportunities in the industry.
  • Proven track record in recruiting and managing a high-functioning team.
