Desktop Publisher – SSDP

Main job function

Job Description:

As a Desktop Publisher, you will be responsible for creating and formatting various types of documents, including brochures, Point and Sale, In-store, and Outdoor Signage. You will work closely with our marketing and design teams to ensure that all materials are visually appealing, error-free, and delivered within deadlines. The successful candidate must have a strong eye for design, excellent technical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Designing and layout of Broadsheets, Leaflets, and Point of Sale
• Format and layout documents according to brand guidelines.
• Create visually appealing graphics, images, and illustrations to enhance documents.
• Proofread and edit documents for grammar, spelling, and consistency.
• Collaborate with marketing and design teams to ensure brand consistency across all materials.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize workload.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in desktop publishing.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to corporate standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree/ Diploma in graphic design.
• Experience in FMCG is a must.
• Proven experience as a Desktop Publisher or a similar role
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Knowledge of typography, layout, and colour theory
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
• Ability to work on Mac.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with print production and prepress processes
• Know the difference between RGB – CMYK & Pantone
• Experience in Digital Printing Industry
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Attention to detail whilst working quickly.
• Layout experience in Adobe CC beneficial
• Setting up & Correcting files for print – getting files Print Ready
• Knowledge in packaging
• Large format printing knowledge essential
• Vehicle branding knowledge beneficial.
