Main job function
To ensure that maintenance is carried out efficiently, to manage projects, to ensure high levels of plant efficiency, maximum production, minimal down time, and to ensure the health and safety of employees. To ensure that plant meets with environmental and energy requirements
- Manage factory engineering projects
- Manage the factory maintenance and construction program
- Manage the company assets of the factory site
- Manage the factory safety program
- Ensure that production and safety standards are in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Ensure effective performance of subordinates and teams
- Comply with the requirements of ISO and Quality management Systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering
Criteria
- At least 6 years practical experience in an industrial process plant, including knowledge of boiler operations
- Including at least 5 years’ experience in leading a leading a maintenance team of qualified personnel
- At least 5 years’ experience in managing a computerised maintenance system
- At least 5 years’ experience in safety management and quality control systems
