IT Manager (2-year Fixed Term Contract) – ITSM

Our client is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Data Technology Business Relationship Manager to oversee the DT activity in South Africa and in our other centers in various African Hubs. In this role, you will be responsible and accountable to consistently partner with local business by supporting the daily IT activities and IT process, also support on SMS 8.1 (Sales and field service system) implementation in Africa. The successful candidate will have proven success managing all technology support aspects of a mid-size commercial business and IT systems project management experience. The duties will include driving business process changes within the systems, working with functional managers to ensure their systems support and partnering with other DT colleagues locally and globally to support the daily activities.

This position is based at their Gauteng, SA office.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Effective Team Building with local management within SA country.
  • Assess DT customer operational capabilities.
  • Understand business requirements for DT capabilities.
  • Understand DT landscape.
  • Collect DT customer requirements.
  • Implement DT customer requirements.
  • Help to identify and prioritize DT opportunities.
  • Understand DT service requirements.
  • Understand business unit risk tolerance.
  • Assess business constraints on DT service/solution.
  • Projects: review implementation schedule and roll-out activities.
  • Projects: Plan and align user testing and resources.
  • Projects: Support organizational changes.
  • Projects: Update project activities.
  • Support for system access throughout South Africa and other African Hubs.
  • Resolve distributor DT issues.
  • Collaborate between Business Partners (Africa) and internal DT.
  • Infrastructure & backoffice Collaboration.
  • Follow up on Service Management (service Now ticketing service process)
  • Follow up on Key Company system sustain: JDE, Elog, CRM, Concur.
  • Follow up on Local system and vendor supporting, as well the migration to global system.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, or similar field
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience

Criteria

  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
  • Expertise in systems implementation and projects governance
  • Hands-on experience as Daily support DT management.
  • Hands-on experience as project manager in complex projects
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Experience in a service company is a plus.
