Qualifications and Experience
- Aligned tertiary education in Project Management and Marketing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management and Events Planning.
- Experience in stakeholder relations.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and task management tools.

- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management [60%]
- Research potential project topics
- Develop project collateral including but not limited to proposals, brochures
- Participate in directing content development and project message design
- Determine and define project scope and objectives
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Track project costs to meet budget
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, progress, and impact
- Manage deviations and crises during implementation process
- Attend to ad hoc client requirements timeously [Senior Private and Public stakeholders]
- Complete all clients’ required compliance and reporting procedures
- Manage external service providers to meet contractual deliverables
- Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout entire project execution to ensure efficient and successful achievement of objectives/targets
- Monitor progress and implement adjustments as required to maintain project success
- Prepare and distribute programme reports to all relevant stakeholders
- Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
Events & Media [30%]
- Organizing of venue, sound, lighting, entertainment, speakers, RSVP management, catering, photography, décor, branding, event set-up and management
- Managing media service providers, writing, and contributing to press releases
- Building relationships with key players, securing coverage opportunities, managing relationship with media monitoring company
New Business Support [10%]
- Leveraging legislature and public policy to attract business, e.g., BBBEE accreditation
- Keeping abreast of industry trends to identify new funding opportunities
- Contribute to fundraising by researching potential funders and setting up meetings for new business pitches
- Identify Request for Proposals (RFP) opportunities and submit aligned project applications
- Network: Attend business gatherings and events to meet new clientele
Salary: R30,000 – R40,000 pm
Other: Travel within SA; must have own transport
