We are looking for a hands-on individual that will be responsible for the accounting and financial processes of the Association and making sure the IT requirement is delivering productively and reporting excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or equivalent
Main job function
Financial – Full oversight of the monthly and annual financial accounts including preparation of monthly and annual financial statements (including cashflows), and supporting documentation.
Providing financial analysis and all balance sheet reconciliations
Distribution of monthly reports, income statements etc.
Assist with quarterly Board papers.
Cash flow forecast.
Ad hoc invoicing of all sundry income items.
Inventory Management.
Vat and tax management.
Insurances.
Asset Management.
Budgets.
Oversee department and Informatation Technology.
Ensure the financial health and stability of the association. The role requires a combination of financial expertise and strong interpersonal skills.
Assist with fund-raising activities as directed by the Executive Director.
Experience/Criteria
Minimum of 5 years in a financial/accounting environment.
Good understanding of Sage Evolution
Good knowledge of income tax, specifically VAT.
Payroll systems.
Management of team.
Experience with a non-profit organisation accounting practices, tax and regulatory requirements would be an advantageous.
Remuneration: R550 – R700 CTC pa
