TOOL JIG AND DIEMAKER – JSTJAD

Our reputable manufacturing client in Mandeni is currently seeking an experienced Tool Jig and Diemaker to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess refrigeration experience and have knowledge of Press Tools, Jigs & Fixtures

Main job function

• Will be falling under the Maintenance Department
• Reporting directly to the Shift Leader
• Manufacture Jigs and Fixtures from Components and Drawings
• Maintenance on press tools, sharpening and calibration
• Execute mechanical breakdown on tools, jigs and fixtures
• Administer change over on Rossi Foaming Fixtures and set-up jigs.
• Align foaming plugs to fixtures
• Must be able to use most Toolroom machinery
• Must be able to read and interpret technical and assembly drawings
• Must be willing and able to work under pressure and according to deadlines
• Knowledge pertaining to lock out and isolation procedures.
• Ensure maximum plant availability through proper maintenance.
• Required to work during Plant Shutdowns to carry out Plant Maintenance
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain 5S Housekeeping
• Must be able to work without supervision
• Must be able to work Fast and Accurately
• Working closely with other departments to resolve Manufacturing Challenges
• Required to attend Departmental Meetings
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities providing

ideas and suggestions.

• Required to work overtime when necessary
• Required to perform schedule maintenance on all Plant Tooling
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude
• Must have knowledge and experience working with hand and power tools
• Good communication skills with the ability to read and write in English.
• Practical and problem-solving skills

 Qualifications

 Matric

• 5-10 years Appliance Manufacturing experience (would be an added advantage)
• Trade tested as a Tool Jig & Diemaker
• N3 Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge of Press Tools, Jigs & Fixtures
• Problem solving and fault-finding skills
• Understanding of a Seasonal working environment and the applicable principles
• Good Interpersonal and Communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Basic knowledge of refrigeration would be an added advantage

Salary

R25 000 – R38 000 per month
