Our client based in Alrode Gauteng are currently seeking the skills of a Buyer
Main job function
Main duties will include, but not limited to the following operations:
- Monitor stock levels and movement reports to insure stock levels are maintained
- Ensure that all orders are properly authorizes according to company policies and procedures
- Ensure continuous communication / liaison with sales and suppliers
- Continuous follow -up on overdue orders
- Ensure correct processing of all orders on Syspro
- Resolve queries with stores and internal customers
- Monitor that goods are delivered on schedule and follow up with suppliers/ shipping agents regarding deliveries
- Expedite foreign purchase orders
- Maintaining an approve supplier list
- Keeping full supplier list – vendor, pricing and quotations
- Handling queries on return / incorrect goods.
- Processing and completing system and manual requisitions.
Qualifications
Matric
Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain Diploma
Criteria
Minimum 3 years purchasing experience
ISO knowledge
Computer literate
Syspro knowledge
Good communication skills (essential)
International procurement experience (Advantageous)
Willing to assist in other areas as required
Ability to communicate, understand, read and write English on all levels (essential) Must be punctual (essential)
