Commercial Property Manager – Reference SSCPM

Main job function

Our client a diversified Property development company, is looking for an experienced Commercial Manager: Property to effectively source and manage commercial property opportunities within the Industrial and Logistics Sector.

Qualification:

Degree in B Com Law/ Commerce/ Legal

Commercial/ Property Law background

 

Experience and Skills Required:

  • 5 or more years’ experience within the Industrial property sector, of which 2 years should be at management level
  • A strong, active existing industry network
  • Experience/ exposure to working with the broker community
  • Candidates with both a strong commercial/ industrial and legal background would be preferred/ at an advantage
  • Demonstrated proficiency in full suite of MS Office
  • Leadership and management skills with a coaching and mentoring approach
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, essential for dealing with a diverse range of clients and tenants.
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
  • Ability to adapt to changing business needs
  • Strong understanding of property management laws and regulations specific to the location and type of property being managed.
  • Understanding of the environmental regulations and warehousing operations as pertains to the requirement of managing properties in the industrial sector
  • Preference will be given to candidates with strong experience in terms of Operations within the Logistics sector

Key deliverables: 

  • Bring with and utilize your existing industry network to secure property opportunities in the Industrial Sector nationally
  • Strong demonstrated ability to source opportunities within the Property Market (Industrial and Logistics Sector)
  • Presentation of leasing options for new developments
  • Strong commercial knowledge of profitability (to ensure the property remains competitive and profitable in the market), tenant relations, and operational efficiency.
  • Sourcing and clear articulation of market intelligence/ data, ensuring updates / trends in the Industrial Warehousing space pertaining to Logistics are timeously brought to the business, and insights capitalized on in line with business strategy
  • Innovation – knowledge of environmental regulations, energy-efficient building operations, and green initiatives that could set a property apart in a competitive market
  • Support broader team to ensure unified approach for the portfolio, thereby ensuring compelling property listings and maintaining high occupancy rates are achieved
  • Ensure above objectives collectively combine to facilitate the greater objectives of the business through working collaboratively to ensure commercial properties are well-maintained, fully leased, and financially viable.
