We’re looking for a high-performing Sales Executive to spearhead our client’s business growth in the African market. If you have:
– A recent track record (within the past year) of successfully selling to national retailers in Africa
– Proven experience in securing FMCG sales with top retail chains
Your mission will be to expand their African footprint by:
– Leveraging your existing relationships with major national retailers (supermarkets and more)
– Securing high-value deals.

Main job function
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Collaborate with the Director of Operations to identify and secure new business opportunities with national retailers across Africa.
Market Expansion:
- Promote and sell our beauty-related products to key supermarkets and national chain stores throughout the region.
Travel:
- Travel across Africa to build relationships, attend meetings, and close sales deals.
Collaboration:
- Work with brokerage firms and local distributors to ensure market penetration.
Territory Management:
- Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the following regions:

- Southern Africa: South Africa and neighbouring countries
- East Africa: Kenya, Tanzania, and neighbouring countries.
- West Africa: Nigeria, Ghana, and neighbouring countries.
Relationship Building:
- Build and maintain strong connections with key decision-makers at national chain retailers.
Qualifications
- Grade 12
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Previous sales experience in the African market is a non-negotiable requirement.
Criteria
- An established network of key contacts, including buyers from national retail chains, is essential.
- Previous sales experience in the African market is a non-negotiable requirement.
- A proven track record of selling to national retailers in Africa within the past year. (Experience older than one year will not be considered.)
