Senior HR Manager – Reference JSSHRM

My Durban based client is seeking an exceptional Senior HR Manager that has worked in a BPO environment. The successful candidate will have:

 

– Proven HR expertise, particularly in recruitment and talent management

– Experience managing HR functions in large organizations (400+ employees)

– A strategic mindset to drive HR initiatives, boost employee engagement, and cultivate a positive work culture

 

 This critical role will play a key part in shaping their HR strategy and contributing to the company’s overall success.

 

Main job function 

  • General oversight of HR Operations for various sites.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Management and maintenance of HR Compliance framework across the Group with robust auditing cycles in place.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure the hiring of high-quality candidates.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
  • Nurture a positive working environment and ensure employee engagement.
  • Project management of various HR projects from time to time, for example current time and attendance roll out.
  • Manage the Payroll System and be responsible for approving and forwarding the payroll data to the Finance Department within the required timeframe.
  • Ensure effective and equitable incentivisation within the company, so talent, skills and results are rewarded.
  • Compile monthly management reports as required for HR and IR, along with H&S.

 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Relevant experience within a HR function with a focus on the IR requirements, experience should include engagement at a senior management level
  • Demonstrable experience with HR metrics and an in-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
  • Strong experience in managing HR functions in organizations with 400+ employees.
  • Prepared to travel to various sites on a fairly regular basis.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel and PowerPoint intermediate level).
  • Report writing and data analysis skills.
  • Sage Pastel would be advantageous.

R50 000 CTC per month
