Qualifications
· Grade 12
· Bcom Degree or Diploma in Sales/Marketing. · A valid drivers’ license |
· Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or demand creation, business development, or marketing within the design or construction industry.
· Proven success in working with architects, designers, and kitchen manufacturers, with a track record of securing product specifications. · Experience in planning and executing customer activation events, workshops, and industry-related gatherings. |
Criteria
Demand Generation Strategy:
Develop and implement targeted demand creation strategies to engage architects, designers, and kitchen manufacturers, driving product specifications on key projects.
Identify and prioritise high-potential markets and customer segments within the architectural and design community.
Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create integrated campaigns specifically tailored to this audience.
Project Specifications:
Work closely with architects and designers to introduce products and secure specifications on major building and interior design projects.
Track and manage project pipelines, ensuring products are specified in relevant projects, and coordinate with sales teams to follow up on opportunities.
Provide technical support and information to architects and designers, ensuring a thorough understanding of product benefits and applications.
Customer Activation and Events:
Plan and host customer activation events (e.g., product launches, design showcases, networking events) aimed at engaging and educating architects, designers, and kitchen manufacturers.
Organise and execute workshops, lunch-and-learns, and presentations at architectural firms, design studios, and industry conferences to promote product adoption.
Collaborate with key industry associations and trade organisations to increase brand visibility and participate in relevant events.
Relationship Building:
Establish and nurture relationships with key architects, interior designers, and kitchen manufacturers to build product loyalty and advocacy.
Develop partnerships with influential design and architecture firms to drive long-term specification opportunities.
Act as the face of the company in design circles, representing the brand at industry events and trade shows.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
Work closely with the sales, marketing, and product development teams to ensure alignment on messaging, product positioning, and customer needs.
Collaborate with external agencies, vendors, and media outlets to promote products and increase market demand in the design and kitchen manufacturing sectors.
Serve as a liaison between customers and internal teams, providing feedback and insights that inform product innovation and marketing strategies.
Market Research and Insights:
Conduct regular market research to understand the needs, preferences, and trends in the architecture, design, and kitchen manufacturing sectors.
Use data and insights to optimise campaigns, target the right audience, and maximise demand generation efforts.
Monitor competitor activities in the specification and design space to adjust strategies accordingly.
Metrics and Reporting:
Track and report on demand creation KPIs, including the number of specifications secured, project conversions, and event engagement.
Measure the impact of customer activation events on brand awareness and demand generation, adjusting tactics as needed to ensure return on investment (ROI).
Regularly present performance reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and future opportunities.

R700 000 per annum
